Mike Richman Confident In Knockout Ability

After losing to the eventual winner of the Season 7 featherweight tournament, Mike Richman has no problem shaking it off after winning the opening round of Season 8.

“It felt really good to get back in the Bellator cage on Spike TV and do what I do best and go in there and finish,” said Richman to MMA Weekly. “I felt like I was still confident as ever, poised and confident, and to go out there and finish it like that felt great.”

Richman secured a first round TKO over Mitch Jackson to advance in the current tournament. Of his four Bellator fights, three of which he left the victor, all have ended in the first round. He meets Alexandre Bezerra tonight at Bellator 92.

Bezerra comes in with a 7-1 record for Bellator, with that loss coming in the semifinals of the Season 7 featherweight tournament. All of those wins he stopped in two rounds.

They fight from the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, CA. They are set for the main card, which starts at 10 p.m. ET on Spike TV.
