UFC president Dana White remarked that the recent UFC on FUEL TV: Silva vs. Stann event set a new high in terms of ratings by the promotion and the network. The card took place this past Saturday night, with Wanderlei Silva defeating Brian Stann in the main event.
“UFC on Fuel 8 most-watched show in network history,” White posted on Twitter. “Did 485k (485,000) viewers, approx twice previous high. Post show even did 219k viewers.”
The card took place from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The post-fight show included outspoken fighters Chael Sonnen and Michael Bisping.
Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports also reported that the all-important 18-49 male demographic was watched by over 282,000 viewers.
