UFC Inks Heavyweight Soa Palelei

Soa Palelei, who is currently riding an eight-fight win streak, is headed back to the UFC, according to his management team at Paradigm Sports Management.

Palelei (18-3) was defeated in his lone UFC fight back in 2007, falling victim to Eddie Sanchez. He has reeled off a 10-1 mark since, with the lone loss coming to Daniel Cormier.

“I’m thankful to (UFC president) Dana White and (UFC matchmaker) Joe Silva for giving me this opportunity to come back to the UFC to showcase my skills,” Palelei stated. “With determination, hard work and a great team, I’m happy to say that today I have signed with the UFC. I look forward to competing in the best organization in the world.”

Palelei has never been to a decision, earning 14 first round stoppage victories during his career. The 35-year-old defeated Sean McCorkle to close out 2012.
