Wanderlei Silva, Stefan Struve, Henry Cejudo: The Morning News Roundup – 3.4.13

If you watched Saturday night’s UFC on Fuel TV 8 – actually sat through it and watched the whole thing – you no doubt wanted to kick in your television screen when decision after painful decision was rattled off one after the other. And then, when Mark Hunt and Stefan Struve got all sloppy-violent, and Wanderlei Silva and Brian Stann got all poetically violent, you probably wanted to hug that same television you’d hated only moments before. Well, that’s MMA for you. You can never tell how fights will go, or how much your Saturday night may suck if a bunch of fighters fail to beat each other senseless. Here’s your news for this morning!

• “The Axe Murderer” was the star of UFC on Fuel TV 8, and thanks to a stellar – and insanely brutal – performance in the main event against Stann, now everyone thinks he should either keep fighting or retire while the going is good. Here’s MMAJunkie’s take. Here’s MMAFighting’s angle.

• Struve, meanwhile, got his jaw broken. Yeesh! Double yeesh!

• Olympic wrestling gold medalist Henry Cejudo had his MMA debut this weekend in a regional show. Of course, he won.

• Here’s CagePotato bringing the funny.
