It’s been close to a year since Marvin Eastman has fought and fans of the former UFC fighter will have to wait patiently for a possible return. Eastman’s next fight won’t be until later this year or even early 2014.
“I want to start training at the end of the year to make a fight, go through a refresher on my workouts,” said Eastman to TATAME. “If all goes well, I return at the end of the year.”
The ex-UFC fighter only competed twice in the past two years. After Glover Teixeira knockout him out in Shooto, he returned as heavyweight for the first time in a decade to earn a decision against Dmitry Zabolotny in Ring of Combat.
At 41-years-old, Eastman holds an 18-14-1 record. He owns notable wins against top stars such as Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Alan Belcher and Travis Wiuff.
Eastman didn’t mention who he might meet in his return or for what promotion.
