Bellator’s Daniel Straus was arrested Friday, March 1, on several charges according to a search on the Broward Sheriff’s Office website. He has been charged with driving on a suspended license, possession of over 20 grams of cannabis, possession of ecstasy and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Straus is currently behind bars at the North Broward Bureau Detention Facility in Pompano Beach, FL. His bond is set at $2,200.
The 28-year-old pulled out of his featherweight championship fight for Bellator 95 against Pat Curran earlier in the week due to a broken hand. Shahbulat Shamhalaev was named as a replacement.
Bellator officials have not issued a statement about the Season 6 featherweight tournament winner.
