Rose Namajunas takes each fight the same. She believes the final appearance a fighter makes is what the fans remember most.
“I think the last moment is always the highlight or lowlight because that’s what people remember,” said Namajunas to MMA Junkie. “Whatever you do last, that’s the impression people have in their minds. That’s the pressure to do well.”
For Namajunas each fight has ended with the same outcome, her hand being held as the victor.
She is currently 1-0 as a professional, but before that toiled in the amateur circuit for some time. She took four wins out of KOTC, with two ending in the opening round by TKO. In her professional debut, she submitted Emily Kagan at the last Invicta FC show in January.
In Namajunas’ return, she takes on Kathina Catron who is no stranger to competition. After four TKO stoppages in her amateur career, she has gone 2-1 since turning pro. She has fought recently out of Xtreme Fighting League, with two first round submissions. She lost earlier in the month to Jordan Nicole Gaza.
It’s going to be Namajunas vs. Catron at Invicta FC 5 from the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, KS.
