Alistair Overeem, who was knocked out by Antonio Silva earlier this month at UFC 156: Aldo vs. Edgar, passed all of his drug and blood tests, according to documents received by MMAjunkie.com.
Overeem was suspended in 2012 having too much testosterone in his system prior to a fight with then-UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos. The former Strikeforce heavyweight champ was subjected to several rounds of testing before receiving his license to fight from the Nevada Athletic Commission.
Overeem’s drug test came back clean of any performance enhancing drugs, recreation drugs or abuse of any kind. Also, his blood test was within normal ranges – and even loser in terms of the testosterone in his system.
