After an arrest for getting into a bar fight left Paul Daley unable to travel to the U.S., he landed a spot on this past weekend’s Cage Contender 16.
In the second round against Patrick Vallee, the former UFC welterweight was able to secure the win with a flying knee. It marked the first time he ended a fight in such a fashion.
Out of Bellator, Daley took a first round stoppage over Rudy Bears. Daley was voted in to open Bellator 85, but the arrest canceled that. His court date is set for April as he hopes to obtain a visa to return into the U.S.
The 10 card fight consisted of seven bouts occurring on the main card with Daley as the headliner.
Cage Contender 16 was on February 23 from the National Basketball Arena in Ireland.
