Back to the welterweight division, as Court McGee (13-3) debuts at 170 pounds against Josh Neer (33-12-1). John McCarthy will be the referee.

Round 1: McGee throwing solid combos, landing everything on the chin of Neer. Neer with a powerful leg kick that nearly takes McGee to the ground. Cut on Neer’s face already from the offensive attack by McGee. Halfway through the round and “The Crusher” has landed 42 strikes already. Straight left connects by McGee, who is picking him apart, as Neer continues to tell him to come and get him. Right by McGee, straight left and a knee inside the clinch. Neer is doubling over from a liver shot, and McGee notices and hits it again, dropping Neer. McGee has him on the ground and is unloading, but is unable to get the finish as the round ends.

Round 2: Neer did not look like he wanted to continue the fight in between rounds. Seemed very discontent after McGee landed over 100 strikes in the round. McGee, again, landing everything – strikes, kicks. Neer throws a big right but misses. Neer appears to be finding a bit of his offense, landing some big shots. Trio of jabs connect by Neer, as McGee starts defending a little more. Big right by Neer, and McGee answers back to the body. Neer working the body now, landing a big left that forces McGee to fight back. Another left by Neer and he taunts McGee, telling him to come and get some.

Round 3: McGee’s corner told him that Neer’s smiles were just a way of hiding the pain inflicted. We shall see going forward. McGee with a combo, and another, as Neer fires off a powerful right. McGee is over 200 significant strikes landed in the fight with three-plus minutes left. McGee gets a leg and scores the first takedown of the fight. He takes the back, throws in a hook, and Neer is able to get to his feet. Another takedown by McGee, who avoids a leg lock attempt by Neer. McGee with a hook in and on the back with a minute left, breaking Neer down. McGee went for the choke, but was unable to get it and settled for some ground-and-pound to finish the round.
