Alexandre Pulga is headed to the U.S. to help sharpen his skills ahead of his first fight outside of Brazil. He will be training with the Blackzilains in Florida as he prepares for the second outing by the World Series of Fighting (WSOF).
“I think the psychological is going to be very strong, as I will be coaching a great team, with legends of MMA alongside,” said Pulga to TATAME. “This will increase my confidence.”
Some familiar names out of the Blackzilains are UFC stars Vitor Belfort, Alistair Overeem and Rashad Evans.
Pulga plans to stay in the U.S. for about a year.
Since debuting in 2008, Pulga has been unstoppable. All 12 fights have ended with him as the winner and half of those came by stoppage.
He takes on Rick Glenn at WSOF 2. With the exception of a draw, Glenn is up to nine consecutive wins. Only one of his 12 career wins needed to be decided by the judges.
WSOF 2 comes from Revel Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. The NBC Sports Network will air the show.
