Joe Rogan, King Mo, Liz Carmouche: The Morning News Roundup – 2.22.13

It’s good to be an MMA fan. Last night’s Bellator MMA installment on SpikeTV was a nonstop thrill ride, and tomorrow night’s UFC 157: “Rousey vs. Carmouche” features a card so stacked, a fantastic event is pretty much guaranteed. And to top it all off, Joe Rogan’s podcast last night featured a very special guest in UFC president Dana White, making for some serious “must listen” content for everyone. Here’s today’s news:

• The link to Joe Rogan’s podcast is here. If you want to hear some insight into Rogan, White, and what they’ve seen and been a part of in the sport, definitely check it out. I cannot stress this enough. It is great stuff.

• Bellator, Bellator, Bellator. First, Bjorn Rebney said that his organization isn’t interested in signing the recently unemployed Jon Fitch, then Muhammed Lawal, a.k.a. “King Mo” – who was their big signing in the light-heavyweight division – got utterly KO’d before he even made it to the finals of their current 205-pound tournament. It was, however, a great event last night, with knockouts galore.

• UFC 157! Here’s Mike Stets’ interview with Carmouche. Here’s the third and final installment of UFC Primetime: Rousey vs. Carmouche. Keep your Kleenex handy. And here’s MMALinker video blogger Ted Czech rapping about the Dan Henderson versus Lyoto Machida match-up.
