Antônio Rogério Nogueira has had a historic career out of the UFC and PRIDE. With everything he’s accomplished, he has yet to compete in front of his home country Brazil under the UFC name.
“For the UFC, I never fought in Brazil,” said Nogueira to TATAME. “I want to feel the energy of Brazilian fans beside me. That to me is a dream that I want to accomplish in my next fight.”
The UFC returns to Brazil in May and June after hosting a show in the country last month. Nogueira’s brother competes on the June card, which is the finale of the second season of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil.
Nogueira returned at the last UFC PPV and left with a decision over former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans. It was Nogueira’s return inside the Octagon after being inactive for 2012.
The next fight for “Little Nog” is not known.
