Since retiring in 2011, UFC veteran Kurt Pellegrino has taken his skills to managing fighters. Pellegrino has already spoken to UFC matchmaker Joe Silva about one of his top prospects George Sullivan.
“I wrote to Joe Silva about George,” said Pellegrino to Bloody Elbow. “Joe is a brilliant guy and an amazing matchmaker. When it’s George’s time, he’ll be there in the UFC. I’m just hoping that it’s his time today, because this kid is awesome.”
Sullivan is 12-3 with half of his wins coming by knockout. He currently holds a four fight win streak since joining Cage Fury Fighting Championships in December 2011. His next fight is not known.
Pellegrino spent several years in the UFC before being released after two losses dropped him to 7-5. After a one minute loss to Patricky “Pitbull” Freire at Bellator 59, Pellegrino announced his retirement post-fight.
