Andrei Arlovski celebrated his 34th birthday earlier this month and the former UFC heavyweight champion doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon.
“For the heavyweights, this age is prime,” said Arlovski to The Fight Nerd. “I want to fight until 40. I have a lot of energy and most of all I want to fight.”
Next month, Arlovski returns for the World Series of Fighting (WSOF). He makes his second main event appearance for them, this time against UFC veteran Anthony Johnson.
After dropping four fights, Arlovski has gained momentum again with stoppages to match. He defeated Devin Cole in the previous WSOF main event. Johnson makes his debut as heavyweight after jumping from welterweight in 2011.
WSOF 2 comes from Revel Casino in Atlantic City, NJ on March 23. It airs on the NBC Sports Network as part of a newly signed three year deal.
