According to a report by The Daily Telegraph, the UFC is looking to hold another event in Australia later this year. The report marks December for a possible return to the country.
The UFC previously held a card this past December in Australia, as the finals of The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes concluded at the card in Gold Coast, Queensland. Tom Wright, the UFC’s international executive, told the newspaper that he hopes a title fight will headline the return.
Wright went on to list Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide as possible sites, saying, “As it stands, I don’t think the event will be pay-per-view.” Instead, it will likely be an FX or FUEL TV card.
A second season of The Ultimate Fighter is expected to begin shooting later this year, though nothing has been confirmed.
