Tyson Nam’s stock skyrocketed after he knocked out Eduardo Dantas over the summer. That happened out of Shooto, so Dantas retained his Bellator bantamweight championship. Now, Nam has his first fight since that win when he debuts for the World Series of Fighting (WSOF) opposite Marlon Moraes.
WSOF president Ray Sefo has that marked as fight of the night.
“It’s an honor to have Tyson Nam,” said Sefo on The Fight Nerd. “I just watched his last fight again and he’s a beast. Nobody expected him to do that to Eduardo Dantas and he came out and did his thing. I think that he’s fight of the night.”
Before Nam took the win over Dantas, he compiled three prior victories, with two ending in under a minute. Moraes shocked many with a split-decision win over UFC veteran Miguel Torres at the inaugural WSOF event.
Nam vs. Moraes is set for the WSOF 2, which comes from Revel Resort & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. That March 23 meeting airs on the NBC Sports Network.
