As the UFC makes history with their first female fight this weekend, former Strikeforce featherweight champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos is just glad that the fights happening. That historic fight is UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey vs. Liz Carmouche.
“Everyone knows Ronda has good judo and armbar,” said Santos on Fight Hub TV. “Carmouche has more things. Better standup, a little bit of jiu-jitsu and has more mixed martial arts. For me, I don’t care. I want a good fight that people want to watch.”
Santos recently signed with Invicta FC after being granted her UFC release. She never made a UFC appearance and didn’t want to drop to bantamweight, their only women’s division.
Rousey vs. Carmouche headlines UFC 157 from the Honda Center. It’s this Saturday, February 23, in Anaheim, CA.
