Road FC 11 Takes Shape With A Pair Of Title Fights

Road FC 11 continues to take shape with two title fights and the bantamweight grand prix.

The inaugural lightweight champion will be crowned as Korea’s Nam Yui Chul takes on Japan’s Takasuke Kume.

Chul went 2-1 last year with his only loss being in his return to Legend FC. Kume currently sits on nine consecutive wins with three of those coming out of Road FC. All of those wins have come by submission and five came out of 2012.

The other title fight has middleweight champion Eun Soo Lee making his first defense against Ikuhisa Minowa.

Lee earned a first round submission over Shungo Oyama at the last Road FC event to win the title. That win made him 2-2 for the promotion. Minowa kept busy last year going 3-2 with his biggest defeat coming to the new Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko.

The card will also have the first two rounds of an eight man bantamweight tournament to decide the new champion. The finals will take place on a separate card. Kyung Ho Kang vacated the title when he signed with the UFC.

Road FC 11 occurs April 13 from the Olympic Hall in Seoul.
