Last year injuries decimated UFC card after UFC card, leaving us with match-ups that were dramatically less appealing than the fighter-versus-fighter permutations that had originally been promised. What brought about the sudden influx of injuries? Was it fighters taking advantage of Zuffa’s new health insurance coverage? A gypsy curse? Simply bad luck? Whatever it was, the spate of dashed match-ups seemed to have abated for a while – that is, until last night, when it was announced that Rory MacDonald injured himself and would be unable to Carlos Condit at UFC 158. Oh noes! Here we go again! Here’s your news!
