The UFC is fresh off their return from London this past weekend and already are planning to expand where they host events, according to UFC president Dana White.
“We’ve been working hard and spending a lot of money in France to get it regulated,” said White at the UFC on FUEL TV post-fight media scrum. “We’re getting there. We’re working on Italy too. Everything’s a priority to us.”
Neither country has hosted a UFC card and nothing has been confirmed about a future show.
The UFC is also set for a return to China after their November show. They drew over 8,400 fans inside the CotaiArena to witness Cung Le get his second UFC win over veteran Rich Franklin in the first round.
“From what I understand, we put on the best event in history,” said White. “Through that, we got a bigger deal. Macau’s great.”
Next month, the UFC returns to Japan and Canada. In April they make their second appearance from Sweden as Alexander Gustafsson will have his home country behind him against Gegard Mousasi. Two Brazil shows have also been announced for 2013.
