As the legality of TRT continues, Luke Rockhold doesn’t care if a fighter uses it. He just wishes they would reveal it prior to the fight taking place.
“I think the TRT thing should be out in the open before fights and not after they end,” said Rockhold to Bleacher Report. “I was also under the belief that if you’ve been caught with performance enhancing drugs in the past, there was no option for TRT, but ultimately it doesn’t matter to me.”
After going through the Strikeforce roster, the promotion’s final middleweight champion’s first test in the UFC will be against Vitor Belfort, who was just confirmed as a patient under TRT use.
Rockhold took nine wins under the Strikeforce banner, including seven that didn’t go past the opening round. Belfort comes in after stopping potential middleweight contender Michael Bisping in the second, just under a month ago. It was revealed after the fight that Belfort was permitted to use TRT and it was in his system.
Even with Bisping’s TRT usage, Rockhold didn’t seem concerned.
“I’m a clean fighter and I’m going to go out there and I am going to do my job,” said Rockhold. “It doesn’t matter to me. Honestly, I get more satisfaction beating people who are on the stuff.”
