MFC’s Smealinho Rama Seeks Sixth Stoppage In One Year Later Today

Smealinho Rama had is first MMA fight 51 weeks ago. Now, just one week shy of that one year anniversary, Rama looks to continue towards improvement.

“I’m pretty happy with what I did, but there’s always room for improvement,” said Rama to MMA Weekly. “I’d like to be more the fighter that I am in the gym in the ring and let loose a bit more and have a good time out there.”

In Rama’s five fights, all have ended in round one and averaged under 2:30. With two wins out of Maximum Fighting Championship (MFC), Rama returns in a light heavyweight title eliminator against Mike Hackert.

Hackert is 6-1 overall with all but his last win coming by decision. The TKO victory was in his first MFC fight over the summer. Hackert has been competing since 2008.

The two meet at MFC 36: Reality Check today, February 15, and can be seen on AXS TV. The card comes from the Shaw Conference Centre in Canada.
