Miesha Tate’s Manager: Beef With Ronda Rousey Turned Heads

Miesha Tate’s ex-manager Malki Kawa thinks that Ronda Rousey is getting too much credit for taking FMMA mainstream and that his former client deserves equal respect.

“If it wasn’t for that Tate/Rousey beef, I don’t think we have a women’s division,” said Kawa to MMA Junkie. “So I give just as much credit to Miesha as I do Ronda.”

The Rousey and Tate feud started in Strikeforce with the two making it clear they didn’t respect the other. That culminated in March when Rousey submitted Tate to take her championship. The belt has since been promoted to the UFC roster, with Rousey being the inaugural titleholder.

Rousey makes UFC history, as she defends her title in the first female fight against Liz Carmouche at UFC 157. It was recently announced that Tate will meet Cat Zingano on The Ultimate Fighter Finale on April 13.
