Brian Rogers Has Motive For Andreas Spang Advancing At Tonight’s Bellator 89

Brian Rogers is set for his third shot in a Bellator middleweight tournament. He has revenge on his mind against Andreas Spang, but first needs to get past Dan Cramer.

It was in the Season 6 semifinal when Rogers picked apart Spang for two plus rounds. A quick punch by Spang and Rogers was out cold.

“He landed one solid shot and it was good enough,” said Rogers on MMA Junkie Radio. “It dropped me and the ref called it. I think he’s a fairly intelligent guy and if he watchers that film, he’s going to see his a– getting kicked for most of it.”

Tonight, Bellator kicks off their middleweight tournament. The brackets include: Rogers vs. Cramer, Brett Cooper vs. Norman Paraisy, Doug Marshall vs. Spang and Sultan Aliev vs. Mikkel Parlo.

Bellator 89 comes live from Bojangles’ Coliseum in Charlotte, NC. streams the preliminary fights at 8 p.m. ET and the main card starts at 10 p.m. on Spike TV.
