Dave Sholler, the director of communications for the UFC, confirmed during Tuesday’s conference call for UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche that four other female fighters will be on hand next week for the media events.
Sholler stated that Miesha Tate, Cat Zingano, Alexis Davis and Sara McMann will all be in Anaheim for the week, conducting several media sessions. Tate and Zingano were recently announced as opponents for The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale.
While no fight has been announced for Davis or McMann, Sholler did make it public that both have signed deals with the UFC. McMann, like UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, is a former Olympian, having captured silver in wrestling at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
Rousey and Liz Carmouche will face each other next Saturday in the main event for UFC 157. It will mark the first female fight inside the Octagon.
