Zoila Gurgel leaving Bellator was apparently a smooth transaction. The two plus year relationship recently ended with Gurgel joining Invicta FC.
“It was a clean break,” said Gurgel. “They went their way and we went our way.”
Gurgel is 12-2 overall, going 6-1 under the Bellator name. She was the women’s 115 pound champion and is coming off a first round submission loss to Jessica Eye.
After attending several Invicta FC shows as a fan, Gurgel loved how the fighters were treated and that made her want to sign with them. She expects to make her first appearance on their next show, which is rumored for April 5.
