Manny Gamburyan Out Of UFC 157 Bout With Chad Mendes

Chad Mendes has lost his scheduled opponent for UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche, as Manny Gamburyan has suffered an injury. The card goes down February 27 from Anaheim.

According to, Gamburyan suffered a broken thumb in training and will be out for an extended period of time. The veteran is 12-7 in his career.

It remains unknown if an opponent will be found for Mendes, who has won two straight since a loss to UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo in early 2012.

UPDATE: Gamburyan confirmed with that he also fractured his elbow, along with the thumb injury, and will be sidelined for at least three months.
