ONE FC’s Eddie Ng Relied On Mental Recovery After Serious Injury

Eddie Ng has been one of the brightest prospects to come out of ONE FC. In his first two fights for them, he finished his opponents with a combined time of 88 seconds.

At the June show, Ng was set to meet Arnaud Lepont. A serious shoulder injury to Ng postponed that fight and it now happens in April. Ng is now completely healed and notes that mental recovery was important.

“Not being afraid to perform movements that involve the injured area is just as important as the physical recovery,” said Ng to MMA Mania. “Also, my coaches here at Evolve MMA have a wealth of experience, they know me, my skill set and what I am capable of, they would advise me not to fight if I was not performing to my full capability.”

Of Ng’s five wins, four have come within one minute into the opening round. Lepont is 1-1 for ONE FC, losing his last fight to Ng’s teammate Shinya Aoki.

Ng vs. Lepont now occurs at ONE FC: Kings and Champions on April 5 from the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The main event features lightweight champion Kotetsu Boku taking on Shinya Aoki.
