ROF Holding A Benefit Show For U.S. Troops From Air Force Base

Ring of Fire (ROF) has partnered up with Shameless MMA to host the first professional fight card on an active military base. It comes from the Buckley Air Force Base in Colorado, as a way to honor present and past troops.

The main event has former UFC fighter Tyler “Thunder” Toner taking on onetime Bellator performer Cody Carrillo.

After Toner lost in his only UFC appearance, he returned to ROF and holds a 9-2 record under their name. Carrillo makes his ROF debut after going 1-2 last year. He’s coming off a second round knockout over Brandon Pfannenstiel for Victory Fighting Championship.

UFC heavyweight Gabriel Gonzag will also make a special appearance. He will not be fighting.

The event will be streamed on the Armed Forces Network and through USTREAM.TV.

A portion of the PPV proceeds go to the Buckley Air Force Base with the remainder of the profits headed towards the Wounded Warrior Project, which helps veterans that were injured overseas.

The show is tomorrow, February 9, with a 9 p.m. ET start time.
