Mike Richman’s Plan To Advance In Tonight’s Tournament

Mike Richman steps inside the Cage for the third time out of Bellator. His fight with Mitch Jackson will be Richman’s second shot to claim the featherweight tournament. With the fight less than 12 hours away, Richman already has the finish mapped out.

“He’s gonna try to shoot on me, try to take me down and try to grind me,” said Richman to MMA Mania. “Maybe he’ll even get me down, but I’m gonna get right back up, get back in his face and f—— beat the piss out of him and put him to sleep.”

After advancing to the semifinals of the Season 7 featherweight tournament, Richman was knocked out by a head kick 23 seconds into round one of Bellator 76 in October. Jackson is 11-1 since 2010 and is riding a seven fight win streak as he makes his Bellator debut.

Richman vs. Jackson airs tonight, February 7, on the main card on Spike TV at 10 p.m. ET. It comes from the Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, GA.
