Vitor Belfort did not fail his post-fight drug test last month in Brazil following UFC on FX: Belfort vs. Bisping. However, he was granted a therapeutic-use exemption for testosterone replacement therapy.
Belfort defeated Michael Bisping in the main event. The Brazilian athletic commission confirmed that his post-fight test “did not indicate the presence of any prohibited substance for increasing performance improvement.”
Belfort was previously suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission for the use of an anabolic steroid in 2006. Thiago Tavares was the lone fighter to fail his test from the January card, as he received a nine-month suspension.
