When the 32 hopefuls join Bellator’s new reality show, Fight Master: Bellator MMA, every fight counts as they will be classified as two round professional fights confirmed Louisiana Boxing and Wrestling Commission Chairman Alvin.
Since the fights will be on a tape delay, the results won’t be made public until after the episode airs.
An undisclosed venue in New Orleans will host eight elimination fights.
It was announced yesterday, that the show will be coached by Randy Couture, Frank Shamrock, Greg Jackson and Joe Warren with the winner getting a spot in the welterweight tournament. The show debuts in the summer with no exact date given.
This will be unlike the UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter, where fights from the show didn’t count towards a professional’s record.
