Tyron Woodley heard the Twitter users request a meeting with Demian Maia following their recent winnings at UFC 156. Woodley wasn’t too impressed with Maia’s win and thinks the fight was boring.
Even though Rory MacDonald meets Carlos Condit in March at UC 158, Woodley wants it known that he’ll step in as a replacement if anything goes down.
“If anything happens with that fight, I already told Dana White,” said Woodley on Sherdog Radio. “I would rather fight [Nick] Diaz, Rory MacDonald, Condit. I would rather fight one of those guys to be honest. They’re going to bring out the fight. They’re going to make me fight harder.”
At this past weekend’s UFC 156, Woodley disposed of Jay Hieron in just 36 seconds with a knockout and Maia outwrestled Jon Fitch for three rounds.
Neither fighter is linked to a fight currently.
