Invicta FC 5 will see two of the promotions titles decided, when they return in April.
The main event will be atomweight champion Jessica Penne taking on Michelle Waterson. Penne is 2-0 for Invicta FC and in her last outing won the gold over Naho Sugiyama. Waterson is 8-1 since 2008.
The inaugural flyweight championship will be featured as the co-main event. Barb Honchak comes in with six straight wins, with the last two being from Invicta FC. Vanessa Porto went 1-1 last year for Invicta FC.
Last month’s strawweight title contender Bec Hyatt returns to meet the undefeated Jasminka Cive on the main card. Former Strikeforce bantamweight champion Sarah Kaufman makes her first appearance for the promotion as well. No opponent has been announced for Kaufman.
Jessamyn Duke, Rose Namajunasand and Veronica Rothenhausler all make their Invicta FC returns on the preliminary end.
The show was originally set for April 13, but after the UFC placed The Ultimate Fighter Finale 17 on the same day the show was pushed back one week. Now, Invicta FC 5 occurs April 6. No venue has been announced.
