Former Oklahoma collegiate amateur wrestler Jared Rosholt hopes for a better outing in his second Legacy FC appearance. The first one was over the summer, in which he suffered his first loss to Derrick Lewis to crown the vacant heavyweight championship.
Rosholt’s undefeated streak ended at four due to that loss and he learned a lesson from it. He returned too fast from reconstructive ACL surgery and wasn’t mentally prepared. With that behind him, Rosholt is past worrying about his leg getting reinjured.
“I think with more time that has passed with the knee surgery it’s more in the back of my mind now to where I feel it’s 100 percent strong,” said Rosholt to MMA Weekly. “I’m not worried if I kick and twist on it that something is going to happen or if it’s going to tear again.”
Rosholt wants to fight several times this year and land a spot on a large name MMA promotion.
Today, February 1, Rosholt returns for Legacy FC against Richard Odoms. It comes from the Cowboys Dancehall in San Antonio, TX. The card can be seen live on AXS TV.
