Melvin Yeoh Excepts Different Raymond Tiew, Same Outcome

It wasn’t that long ago when Melvin Yeoh handed Raymond Tiew his first loss. That was out of Malaysian Fighting Championship (MFC) in September 2011 and tomorrow Tiew has a chance to gain some revenge. For Yeoh, their second encounter will be quite different.

“That fight was long time ago and was very early in both our careers but I am confident because I was not 100 percent when I fought Raymond the first time,” said Yeoh to MMA Weekly. “We are both very happy to be fighting again and amazed that this time the fight is for the biggest MMA promotion in Asia.”

Yeoh went on that he injured his hand in the previous fight, which was earlier in the day. Injury or not, Yeoh was still able to land a second round TKO over Tiew.

Since that original fight, Yeoh has gone 4-1 with all those contest not going past round one. Most of those fights have taken place out of MFC. Tiew came back with three wins before losing in his ONE FC debut almost a year ago. Those fights also didn’t go past the first round.

The pair meets on the main card of ONE FC 7: Return of Warriors, which airs tomorrow, February 2, from the Putra Indoor Arena in Malaysia. The main card streams at for $9.99 with a start time of 6 a.m. ET. The preliminary card will air for free.
