Urijah Faber was one of the many names to fall to UFC featherweight champion José Aldo. As Aldo prepares to fight Frankie Edgar this week, Faber gave his two cents on the outcome.
“I think Aldo wins because I know Aldo is a tough guy, so I need to give him a slight advantage,” said Faber to TATAME. “But I feel that if Edgar can keep the pace and take the fight to the ground this will be a difficult fight for Aldo.”
Edgar makes his debut as a featherweight after losing his lightweight gold last year. Aldo is up to five title defenses, with the first being a decision over Faber for the WEC.
Faber only competed once in 2012 suffering a loss and broken rib to Renan Barão. For 2013, Faber plans to stay busy with three fights. The first fight comes against Ivan Menjivar at UFC 157 later in the month.
UFC 156 is headlined by Aldo vs. Edgar this Saturday, February 2, from the Mandalay Bay Events.
