Ricardo Tirloni Done Letting Judges Bother Him

Ricardo Tirloni’s last fight isn’t sitting well with him. He was excited from the semifinals of the Bellator Season 7 lightweight tournament with a split-decision loss to Dave Jansen. After that controversial loss, which he insist he won, Tirloni is done letting fights be decided by the judges.

“My main learning was not to leave it to the judges, to be more aggressive, look more for the knockout, strike harder and sooner and to finish the fight as soon as possible,” said Tirloni to MMA Junkie.

He fights the undefeated Will Brooks later tonight on the main card of Bellator 87. Brooks is coming off an upset over former Sengoku champion Satoru Kitaoka at DREAM 18. It will be Brooks’ debut for Bellator.

Bellator 87 starts at 8 p.m. ET with the preliminary fights on Following that at 10 p.m., the main card starts on Spike TV. The show takes place from the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mt. Pleasant, MI. All opening round fights of the featherweight tournament will take place on the card.
