Will Brooks Finds Rhythm By Taking Frequent Fights

To win a Bellator tournament, it usually consists of fighting three times in a four month span. Will Brooks doesn’t mind the quick turnaround of fights because it plays into his skill set.

“I’m a rhythm type of guy and I fight better when I’ve fought recently,” said Brooks to MMA Mania. “Once I get into a rhythm, I find myself getting more comfortable and I become a much bigger threat.”

Brooks has competed mostly out of CCC and XFO. His last fight came out of DREAM, which makes him 9-0 overall. He meets Ricardo Tirloni in the opening round of the Season 8 lightweight tournament. Tirloni lost in the semifinals of the last tournament to the eventual winner Rick Hawn.

Bellator 87 takes place from the Soaring Eagle Casino Resort in Mount Pleasant, MI later today. They meet on the main card with a start time of 10 p.m. ET on Spike TV.
