It seemed like the only bout linked to UFC 159: Jones vs. Sonnen was the main event for the longest time. However, the fight card is quickly filling up.
UFC officials announced that heavyweights Roy Nelson and Cheick Kongo will meet at the April 27 event from New Jersey. Phil Davis-Vinny Magalhaes was also announced earlier in the day.
Nelson (18-7) has picked up two straight wins and is 3-1 in his last four since a two-fight slide. “Big Country” defeated Matt Mitrione and Dave Herman last year.
Kongo (18-7-2) is also 3-1 in his previous four, having topped Shawn Jordan in his last bout.
