Sevak Magakian Jumped At Bellator Opportunity

Sevak Magakian (12-3) hasn’t fought since the summer, but has been staying in shape as maybe a fight would come up. Good thing, as Magakian recently learned he has his biggest performance to date when he debuts for Bellator later in the week against Jason Fischer.

“This is just one week notice,” said Magakian on MMA Interviews. “I just found out a couple of days ago. I’m in shape and been training. I just jumped at the opportunity. You don’t want to let it go. I can’t wait to fight in Bellator and see what it feels like there.”

Magakian is 11-1 since 2008. He was on a six fight win streak before it was snapped in 2009. He looks to tie his current win streak record against Fisher. Out of Bellator, Fischer is 2-1. His only loss was in his last fight.

It will be Magakian vs. Fischer at Bellator 87 on January 31. They meet on the preliminary card which streams at with a start time of 8 p.m. ET. It takes place from the Soaring Eagle Casino in Mount Pleasant, MI.
