Former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar has proven to be a hard man to stop. Mark Hominick, though, believes Jose Aldo has what it will take to figure out “The Answer.”
The two will meet this Saturday night at UFC 156: Aldo vs. Edgar for the UFC featherweight title. Hominick, who went the distance with Aldo in 2011, recently gave his opinion on the upcoming fight during an interview with Fighters.com.
“I think it’s going to be very hard to stop Aldo,” Hominick said. “I’m betting with the favorite here – betting on Aldo. I could see him finishing it in the second or third round.”
Hominick, who made a comeback attempt during the final round vs. Aldo in Toronto, did add, “Frankie is one of those guys who has been counted out before and come out on top, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Edgar takes a decision win.”
Hominick retired from competition last year following a fourth straight loss. Edgar has never been stopped in his MMA career, as all three losses have come via decision.
