To ensure the safety of fighters, beginning with BAMMA 12, independent UK medical body Safe MMA will check the fighters’ health.
“BAMMA is proud to be working with Safe MMA,” said BAMMA’s Managing Director Ashley Bothwell. “It’s major step forward for MMA in this country and has brought the different promotions together for the first time to ensure that the safety of fighters comes first and to work for the greater good of the sport.”
All fighters have to undergo a standardized medical test and blood work, to be medically cleared to fight. After their fight, medical results will be submitted to a confidential medical database.
BAMMA 12 comes from the Metro Radio Arena on March 9 and will be streamed on AXS TV.
The event will featured in a two hour live broadcast
