Gray Maynard watched as Anthony Pettis made a statement with his victory over Donald Cerrone Saturday night at UFC on Fox: Johnson vs. Dodson. Pettis, who had been on the sidelines with an injury for nearly a year, stopped Cerrone with a vicious liver kick.
Maynard, a former top contender in the UFC’s lightweight division, posted on Twitter just minutes after the bout that he wants Pettis next.
“Yup…..I want that fight,” Maynard wrote.
Maynard suffered a nasty knee injury in training late in 2012, knocking him out of a planned bout with Joe Lauzon.
