Dan Hardy Says Most Athletes Use PEDs, Against VADA Testing

Some Twitter followers of Dan Hardy (25-10-1 NC) recently asked the former No. 1 contender to the welterweight title his thoughts about fighters and the use of PEDs. Hardy was clear in his response that he believes almost everyone in professional sports use some kind of drug to help them.

Hardy noted that he doesn’t use PEDs. Another follower brought up the topic of VADA, who randomly test fighters. Their testing is not required and fighters must sign up to take part. Hardy threw a curveball stating that he doesn’t believe VADA is fair.

Throughout his MMA career, Hardy has never failed any drug test he has been given. In 2008, Hardy joined the UFC and after four straight wins earned a shot at the championship. He lost that exchange and the next three fights to follow. Despite losing four in a row, the UFC didn’t release him and he earned a pair of wins in 2012 to snap his losing streak.

It is rumored that Hardy will meet Matt Brown (16-11) at UFC on FOX 7. That show takes place April 20 and comes from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA.
