Daniel Sarafian vs. C.B. Dollaway

It’s time for the co-main event, as Brazil’s own Daniel Sarafian (7-2) faces C.B. Dollaway (12-4). Sarafian reached the finals of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil, but an injury forced him to miss the tournament finale. The referee will be Mario Yamasaki.

Round 1: A very intense, very fired up Sarafian is anxious to get going, and the Brazilian crowd is at its loudest right now. Dollaway firing off some nice jabs to keep Sarafian at bay, plus he has his excellent wrestling to use. Massive left hook thrown by Sarafian. Sarafian comes in and catches Dollaway with a combo. Dollaway with a body kick that keeps Sarafian from landing a counter. Sarafian catches Dollaway with a counter coming in, and Sarafian attacks. Dollaway goes for a leg, but eats a heavy left. Sarafian has no interest in going to the ground, and they square off in the center. Again, Sarafian catches Dollaway, and lands a perfect right followed by a left hook. The Brazilian is definitely head hunting right now. Overhand right comes flying in, but is just a glancing blow this time. Sarafian is coming in, landing a heavy combo, and Dollaway has been unable to do anything to defend it. Sarafian going to the body, landing several nice jabs.

Round 2: Dollaway fires off a big right that misses, but is working to cut the Octagon off. Sarafian catches Dollaway and hints at a takedown attempt, but is unable to get it. Sarafian has a small cut under his right eye courtesy of a Dollaway jab. Sarafian has the reach figured out, as he snaps off a pair of quick rights that Dollaway had no chance of blocking. Big right stuns Dollaway, but Sarafian isn’t able to take him down. Dollaway trying to work the body, but Sarafian will have none of it, continuing to pick Dollaway apart. Overhand right finds the mark once again by Sarafian, and Dollaway responds with a combo. Despite a reach disadvantage, Sarafian has had little trouble getting in close. Dollaway lands an uppercut and pounces, unloading several rights to Sarafian who just survives the round. What an incredible finish for Dollaway.

Round 3: Dollaway should be feeling confident following that closing flurry, as he had Sarafian in trouble. The ref checked several times, and Sarafian’s face looks like he has been in a war. Straight lands by Sarafian, as does a right hook, but Dollaway answers. Dollaway lands a kick and follows with a left. Big right connects by Sarafian, as both men are tired, but still throwing everything. Dollaway fires off a right, and goes for a takedown, which he gets. Dollaway into the mount, Sarafian looking exhausted with three minutes left. Dollaway takes the back, but Sarafian gets to his feet. Dollaway in deep on a double-leg attempt, and he gets it, going right to the back of Sarafian. They roll as Dollaway looks to advance his position. Dollaway moves to the mount and misses an elbow. Sarafian reverses with a sweep, as this is a battle of two exhausted fighters who have spent just about everything. Sarafian in half-guard, looking to take back this round. Sarafian to the mount position, unloading on Dollaway. Sarafian goes to the back and is working for a rear-naked choke with a minute left. Dollaway fighting it off, trying to spin, and reverses into the guard.
