Michael Bisping has arrived in Brazil, and is just days away from the biggest match of his career. With a win over Vitor Belfort Saturday night at UFC on FX: Belfort vs. Bisping, “The Count” will secure a shot at the UFC middleweight title.
While he has been putting the finishing touches on his training, Bisping has kept fans in the loop via a blog on Yahoo! Sports. In the latest installment, we see that the Brit is nearing fight night.
“I’m in full ‘fight mode’ now,” Bisping wrote. “I like to fight angry, to have a lot of emotion and ill-will towards my opponent. I fight better like that for some reason, and I am advanced enough in my career to be able to generate that mood for myself regardless of my opponent.”
Bisping has had a pair of opportunities before to earn his chance at Anderson Silva and the UFC title, but was bested by Dan Henderson and Chael Sonnen.
“(Belfort’s) trying to take my title shot off me. He’s trying to take my family’s security off me,” Bisping wrote. “I’m not letting any of that happen. The bottom line is I’m going to kick his arse Saturday night. That’s bad news for Vitor. The good news is he will always be able to find work as a Brazilian Chippendale.”
