Tim Kennedy confirmed recently on Twitter that he has indeed signed to compete in the UFC. However, the U.S. Army Staff Sergeant has yet to ink an actual fight for his Octagon debut.
It just so happens that Chris Leben, a veteran of the UFC, is looking to make a quick return to action after a year away following a suspension. So, on his own Twitter page, Leben recently posted a blank space behind his name, asking who would make for a good matchup.
Kennedy’s name came up quite often with fans, and the fighter appears to agree. Kennedy responded to the Leben post by writing, “I am a big Chris Leben fan, and he and I would put on a great fight.”
Leben (22-9) is coming off a disappointing loss to Derek Brunson last month, while Kennedy (15-4) topped Trevor Smith last weekend on the final Strikeforce card.
