The UFC has decided to implement a new rule ahead of UFC on FX: Belfort vs. Bisping this Saturday night. All fight night bonuses handed out by the promotion will not be awarded until after drug tests come back in, Marc Ratner told MMAjunkie.com.
Ratner, the UFC Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, also stated that all fighters will be tested for performance enhancing drugs who compete on international cards. The UFC hires a firm to oversee the drug testings when not competing in the U.S. because there is no athletic commission to do so.
During the last international card, two fighters were suspended for failed drug tests. Rousimar Palhares and Joey Beltran each competed in Australia, and both were suspended for nine months.
